Dear HDFC Shareholders:
Zohran Mamdani is our new mayor, and we have a lot of work to do.
As you may have seen, the mayor has a new team of housing executives to whom we’ll have to explain that HDFC home ownership is important, and what they need to do to ensure HDFCs survive and thrive.
That’s where we need your help: We’ll be holding meetings across the City starting in February. If you can help us organize a meeting in your neighborhood, post flyers, reach out to neighbors or anything else, please email us at info@savehdfcs.org or fill out the form. We’ll be going to Brooklyn, the Bronx, Washington Heights, Harlem and Chelsea.
We also need your help spreading the word. Print out the poster attached here and hang it in your lobby or on your building’s bulletin board. Share this with your neighbors and on your building list serve, and please follow us on social media. That’s a huge help.
Finally, after hearing from our legislative sponsors, we made some changes to the bill, and the updated version has been formally filed with the state Senate and Assembly.
You can read the bill here, or read an updated summary.
Stay warm, and stay in touch!
